IMPRESSIONS OF A THOROUGHBRED

My love for horses started way back in the mid 80’s as a family friend introduced me to the world of showjumping AND HORSE BREEDING. My participation was not as a Rider, but more an observer… with a camera in hand.

As I spent time at stud farms and arenas, I learned more about the absolute grace and beauty of the equestrian world. I wanted to “capture it”… it, being the majesty and grace of movement. It would be another 20 + years before I would finally attempt my first “impressionistic rendition” of horses as all my previous attempts were merely illustrative by nature.

I’ve always had a specific interest and love for Thoroughbred & Arabian Horses. Their slender form and definitive outline drew me to this breed, and in 2012 had the opportunity to start work on the long-awaited series called, Impressions of a Thoroughbred.

Over the next 24 months I produced a large body of work that was eventually curated down to a smaller collection of 8 pieces. I decided to let the collection mature for another 8+ years and have now decided to release the final COLLECTION TO THE PUBLIC.
